As we approach the end of the year, I find myself reflecting on the journey we've shared—both personally and as part of the Apeloig Collection community. This season is one of reflection, gratitude, and most importantly, light. Hanukkah holds a special place in my heart. It is more than just the festival of lights; it is a story of resilience, heroism, and unwavering faith. The story of the Maccabees reminds us that even in the face of great challenges, light will prevail, and miracles are always possible when we believe and act with courage.
This year has been filled with both joy and profound personal challenges. My sister and business partner, Gabriela, faced an incredibly difficult battle with breast cancer. Throughout her journey, she demonstrated extraordinary bravery and an unshakable positive attitude, always with Bitachon (a state of trust in God). Gabriela’s strength reminded us all of the power of resilience and the importance of family and community. Her fight has been an inspiration to everyone around her, and as we light the Hanukkah candles this year, her courage shines as a testament to the miracles we witness even in the most challenging times.
Adding to these moments of inspiration, I wanted to share our latest Menorah edition of "who made it better" . My 10-year-old daughter Camille made me incredibly proud by participating in the Menorah Design Competition organized by the Jewish Agency for Israel. Her menorah was nothing short of extraordinary—each candle arm represented an Israeli soldier, holding signs calling for the safe return of the Israeli hostages. The shamash was adorned with a yellow ribbon symbolizing the "Bring Them Home" campaign. Camille’s menorah beautifully connected the heroism of the Maccabees to the bravery of the IDF soldiers, reminding us that the fight for freedom and hope transcends generations. Her design not only reflects her creativity but also her deep understanding of the values we hold dear.
At Apeloig Collection, these values of creativity and tradition inspire everything we do. As a family-owned brand, our mission has always been to honor the rich legacy of Jewish culture while reimagining it for modern life. This year has brought us incredible milestones and challenges, but the support and love from our community have been a constant source of strength.
As we light the Hanukkah candles and watch their glow fill the room, I am reminded of the light we each carry within us—the light that has the power to illuminate even the darkest moments. I encourage all of you, our wonderful customers and community, to share that light with the world. When you light your Apeloig Collection Acrylic Menorahs this Hanukkah, share a picture or video on social media and use #traditionmeetsdesign. Let’s inspire each other by showing how we bring light, creativity, and tradition into our homes. Together, we can spread the beauty and warmth of Hanukkah far and wide.
As we look forward to 2025, I am filled with excitement and hope. At Apeloig Collection, we’ve been designing new products that I can’t wait to share with you. Our goal remains to bring meaningful, beautiful pieces that celebrate tradition in fresh, innovative ways. Thank you for being part of our journey—we are so grateful for your support and cannot wait to embark on another year of creativity, connection, and shared light together.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous Hanukkah and a bright, hopeful start to the new year.
With gratitude and light,
Daniela Apeloig
