Every year at Apeloig Collection we strive to create a table that transcends the ordinary. In years past we have reimagined themes with red apples, yellow apples, green apples, pomegranates, honey, honey bears, bees, and bee hives in every possible combination. This year we really wanted to get creative and do something completely unique. A shofar themed table felt exciting, challenging, and perfect for this year.
We did our homework to see how it might have been done before, and we were not surprised to find that it is definitely something no one has tried to execute! No wonder! It is a hard theme to execute. That’s why for this Shofar-themed table we did not go at it alone. In partnership with an extraordinary team of creative minds, we created a Rosh Hashanah design that is as unique as it is beautiful.
The Dream Team
Let’s start by introducing our talented partners. This is a group that offers the best of the best and are equally as obsessed as we are in creating festive tables that are jaw dropping, wow inducing, and will be the talk of the temple!

Why the Shofar Theme?
Rosh Hashanah is a time when we wait to hear the unmistakable sound of the Shofar — a call to spiritual awakening.
It is also a time of family and feasting. Rosh Hashanah tables are traditionally adorned with apples, honey, pomegranates, and other symbols representing sweetness, prosperity, and new beginnings. This year, we wanted to move in an extraordinary direction and really focus on the Shofar. It is after all, the quintessential symbol of the High Holy Days. The Shofar’s sound invites us to reflect and reconnect with our spirituality, and we wanted our table to capture this essence.
As you can imagine, the Shofar theme is a challenge. We needed it to feel modern, yet hold on to important traditions. We needed a dream team! Jassi Lekach, the event planner extraordinaire, was an obvious choice. Known for her natural creative abilities and the “wow factor” she brings to every event, Jassi breathed life into our vision, maintaining the sophistication and elegance that are the signature of Apeloig Collection.
Curating the Shofars and Judaica
Our journey began with a trip to Aspaclaria to pick the most exotic Shofars. The selection was vast, but we carefully chose pieces that not only varied in size and shape but also carried the spiritual importance we aimed to convey.
Tabletop Extravaganza with IL Argento
Next, we moved on to IL Argento to select the most elegant tabletop items. From ornate napkins to exquisite silverware, glassware, and plates, IL Argento had it all. The balance between the classical and the modern was achieved effortlessly, setting a high bar for sophistication.
Floral Artistry
Jassi's ingenuity particularly shone through in her floral arrangements. By integrating blooms that echoed the color palette and contours of the Shofars, she created a cohesive yet eye-catching look.
Judaica and the Final Touches
Apeloig Collection was proud to provide pieces from our collection that made a statement, and added both form and function to the setting. Featured on this magnificent table are our Striped Challah Board in Gray and Kiddush Wine Fountain in black that complemented the overall theme
Kippot World supplied stylish kippot that matched perfectly.
Challah to Perfection
Those perfectly round challahs that you see? Those are from Reyna Weinbach. We met her a few weeks back and she taught us how to braid round challah. There’s still time to learn how to do it yourself before the holiday. We highly recommend it! In fact, here’s a blog post that makes it easy.
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
David Moreno, our talented photographer, captured the beauty and intricacy of the setup. Every detail and piece of the table was photographed with precision. He truly highlighted the combined creative forces of our team.
Wishes For A Happy, Healthy And Meaningful Holiday
