“Gadol ham’aseh yoter min ha’omeir.”
“Greater is the one who acts than the one who merely speaks.” (Talmud, Bava Batra 9a)
This powerful teaching resonates deeply with us, both in our personal lives and in our journey as founders of Apeloig Collection. We’ve always believed that the best way to inspire others is through action, and last night, we had the privilege of witnessing this firsthand in a truly meaningful way.
We attended an event organized by the Jewish Learning Institute (JLI), where we learned more about the incredible work they do in spreading Jewish wisdom and education. It was a night dedicated to the power of knowledge—how it shapes our identity, strengthens our faith, and connects generations. But what made the evening even more special was that our parents were honored for their generous contribution to the distribution of The Book of Jewish Knowledge.
Our parents chose to dedicate this book in memory of their own parents—a beautiful tribute to the generations that came before us. But they also made this dedication in honor of their children and grandchildren, ensuring that Jewish learning continues to flourish for years to come. It was a moment of deep pride for us. We’ve always looked up to them for their unwavering commitment to our heritage, and seeing them take such meaningful action to support Jewish education was yet another reminder of the values they have instilled in us.
Jewish education is not just about learning history or tradition—it is about ensuring our continuity as a people. It gives us the knowledge and strength to live with purpose, to connect with our roots, and to pass on our heritage to future generations. Books like The Book of Jewish Knowledge are essential tools in this mission, making the depth and beauty of Judaism accessible to people of all backgrounds.

As we listened to the speakers last night, we couldn’t help but reflect on our own journey. At Apeloig Collection, our goal has always been to blend tradition with innovation, making Jewish rituals not only meaningful but also inspiring for the next generation. Whether through our modern designs or the stories behind our products, we hope to contribute— in our own way— to keeping Jewish identity vibrant and relevant.
But at the heart of it all, we are simply following the example set by our parents. They have taught us that words are important, but actions are even greater. Their generosity and vision for Jewish education remind us that each of us has the ability to make a difference, to be a link in the unbreakable chain of Jewish continuity.

May we all continue to learn, to teach, and most importantly, to act.
