Apeloig Collection was founded in part because we wanted our Judaica to vibe with our home decor. We felt that this was the best way to honor our deep sense of tradition and have it embody our modern sense of style. We are constantly looking at color trends and seeing how we can incorporate what’s next and new in our designs.
You may have noticed that an obsession with beige and cream has now transformed into something slightly different. We are seeing earthy tones like caramel, taupe, clay, and soft brown take over everything from paint colors to furniture. In many ways, this
shift isn’t just about color—it’s about how we want to feel.
Feeling Grounded In Our Homes, Relationships, And Traditions
As Jews and a Judaica company, we are highly in tune with what is happening in Israel. There is a tremendous sense of uncertainty and while we believe that taking action makes an impact, we also think that it’s made us re-focus our attention on how we want our home to feel. These new neutrals reflect our desire to feel grounded—in our homes, relationships, and traditions. As we slow down during the holiday meal and reconnect with family and friends, we want our spaces to mirror that intention.
Bringing Earthy Neutrals Into Our Home Is The Inspo
You may have read our previous blog post about the Pantone Color of the Year, Mocha Mousse. We wrote about how we tried to create a Passover table using this color and it just didn’t work out. But what we ended up with was a table that felt like us, using the elements and ideas that we are best known for.
Using earthy neutrals, like the ones shown in our recent photoshoot, embraces brown tones to add depth, comfort, and calm. Remember, selecting a neutral color palette doesn’t mean that your table has to be boring. It is really about layering shades and materials with meaning. Our goal was to select colors that invite us to linger longer at the table and take the time to reconnect.
The Apeloig Collection Takes On New Neutrals
The beauty of sharing our inspiration is that we hope you will be inspired to create your own unique Passover Table. If you check out our Passover Collection, you’ll find our popular range of Seder Plates, Matzah Covers, Afikomen Bags, and Matzah Holders. We’re also excited to share that we have a new white color in our Type and Geometric patterns.
If you’d like to create your own Passover table based on our picks, then you’ll love Type Matzah Cover in white and the Type Afikomen Bag in white. You can get creative by adding your favorite floral arrangements, fun placements, and interesting accessories. We encourage you to mix items passed down from grandparents to add another layer of meaning to the holiday table.
It was fun to mix a color like white with caramel, taupe, sage, and clay, and to see how it all came together to echo the values we hold dear: tradition, family, grounding, and sophistication.
Find Meaning In These Moments
Ultimately, when creating this Passover table, we understood that neutral tones or “new neutrals" as we are calling them may be trending, but their real power is emotional. Create a table that your guests will enjoy and feel more connected.
