You first make the blessing "Baruch Ata Adonoi Eloheinu Melech Haolam Asher K'dishanu B'mitzvotav V'tzivanu L'hafrish Challah. Then separate a portion of about a k'zayit (a shot glass amount). You then burn the piece in the oven with aluminum foil, so the oven does not absorb the flavor of the challah.

Love love love!
I’m obsessed with these stunning challah cloths. I love them so much that I bought a few as gifts. The original set was so nice I just could not part with them!! As with all products from Apeloig Collection, it’s amazingly modern and beautiful.

Perfect for baking!
I am very happy with this purchase because given we live in a constant A/C environment, but these cloths allow for proper heat to be absorbed and maintained by the dough, allowing it to rise. I also love the beautiful colors and messages on each one. Perfect for a gift!
